An interactive activity: Looking up
Words in Dictionaries
This activity
provides learners with room for exploratory learning. Learners work
out different ways they find most effective and efficient in looking up
words in dictionaries with which they complete activities such as finding a
particular word, choosing the correct meaning, finding words of similar
meanings and making word cards and word banks. In the end, learners
use the feedback sheet to evaluate how they have performed in the
activities. The skills of using dictionaries can help learners become
better independent learners paving the way for self learning. |
