Classroom Activity I: A Superhero was Born

Who is Super Word Kid? By learning more about this comic hero from his biography in the newspaper, learners are able to learn why and how to use synonyms. They can also acquire the skills of looking up synonyms in thesaurus and dictionaries on the Internet.


Activities involved:

- Using online thesaurus and dictionary to look up synonyms

- Rewriting short paragraphs

- Extended outdoor activity

Writing Activity: Your Superhero

Learners need to write and design a simple biography about a hero / a villain using their creativity and the language pattern learnt from the previous parts.


Activity Involved:

- Show-and-tell: share their superhero with the class.



Part 3


Interactive Activity: Robot Boy and His Cheesy Plan

The city is in danger! Robot Boy has taken over the central library and threatened to turn the students and all the books into cheese with his latest invention – the cheesy gun!


Learners need to finish two mini games with the vocabulary building skills they learned.
